Who reads this site
Our readers own the vehicles or they run them for a living. That is owners of the D-Max and the MU-X, farmers and tradespeople whose pickup is a tool rather than a lifestyle, and the people who look after N-Series and F-Series trucks in small fleets and independent workshops. They arrive on maintenance and towing pages with a specific problem, and they arrive on recall and bulletin pages because something has just been announced about a vehicle they own. They come here for help understanding and maintaining those vehicles, and for the company of other owners, not for official guidance, which belongs with Isuzu and an authorised dealer.
We do not publish audience numbers here, because the figure would be stale by the time you read it. Ask and you will get current reporting from our analytics provider: sessions, the split by country, and which sections earn the traffic. The shape matters more than the total anyway: high intent, mid-repair or mid-purchase, and weighted towards people who buy parts, tyres, tooling, insurance, canopies, towing gear and workshop services.
What we sell
Three things. Display placements in the article body and in the sidebar, sold directly or filled programmatically. Sponsorship of the newsletter, which carries one sponsor per send, named at the top rather than hidden mid-scroll. And sponsored articles, labelled as sponsored in the headline area and on the index, styled so they do not resemble our editorial, and kept out of our news feeds.
Sponsored articles are written by the advertiser or a writer they pay, never by the staff who write our news and reviews. We will tell you if a claim in your copy is one readers will laugh at, and we decline copy that presents itself as a technical finding without evidence behind it. That is the extent of our involvement.
What we will not sell
This is a diesel ownership site, so the refused list is longer than it would be elsewhere and it costs us money every quarter. We do not accept advertising for emissions-defeat hardware or services, which here means delete pipes, blanking plates, AdBlue emulators and remaps sold on removing an emissions function. We also turn away additive and cleaning products whose advertising claims to cure a documented fault, cloned or counterfeit parts, and anything sold as an extended warranty product with terms that only appear after payment.
Two more categories. Undisclosed political or campaign advocacy dressed as a commercial ad is refused outright, and so is any creative that could be mistaken for a manufacturer communication. We are an independent, unofficial publication with no affiliation to Isuzu Motors Limited, its subsidiaries, its dealers or its distributors, and the model names we use are trademarks of their respective owners used descriptively to identify the vehicles we write about. So no advertiser may present a placement here as official or endorsed, and nobody can buy positioning that implies a manufacturer relationship which does not exist. We claim no ownership of those marks, and nothing on our rate card can grant a relationship we do not have.
The firewall, stated plainly
Buying advertising gets you the placement. It does not get you a preview of our coverage, a veto over it, a right of reply written into an article, removal of something already published, or any influence over what we look at next. We do not tell the newsroom who is buying, and we do not pull a piece because an advertiser dislikes the timing.
Advertisers get written about like everybody else. If a part we run ads for is failing in the field, or a recall touches a brand paying us this month, it publishes on the schedule it otherwise would. Our editorial standards commit us to that in public, and the money side is on our ownership and funding page.
Programmatic, data and privacy
Direct-sold campaigns are served and reported by us. The rest of our display inventory is filled by programmatic exchanges, which means we choose the categories and the exchange fills the slot, so we control what is blocked rather than approving each creative. Blocked categories include everything on our refused list, and we act on reports of anything that slips through.
Ad partners have to meet the consent and data requirements that apply to our readers, and our cookie policy and privacy policy describe what is set and what a reader can turn off. We do not sell reader email addresses, hand over our newsletter list, or build audience segments for anybody.
Rates, booking and what you get back
Email support@isuzuownersclub.com with what you sell, the market you want, the format and a rough budget, and you will get placements, availability and rates in a reply. Expect a response within about a week. Direct campaigns are booked by written confirmation with the creative deadline agreed up front, and first-time advertisers pay before the campaign starts.
Reporting on direct-sold campaigns covers impressions, clicks and viewability from our ad server, sent at the end of the flight and at the midpoint on anything running longer than a month. Newsletter sponsors get sends, opens and clicks on their link. Programmatic performance is reported by the exchange, and we say so rather than presenting their numbers as ours. If a campaign underdelivers, we make it up in inventory or refund the shortfall.
